Home Community Question & Answers Weight Loss Software How accurate are fitness trackers?

  • They're not very accurate in a lot of ways to be honest. Personally, I think they are a good guideline and give you a general idea of how many calories you burn, etc. but they also track things that you don't do. For instance, Mine was saying was walking up flights of stairs when I was swinging my arms while another said that I got several hours of sleep even though I was lying awake for half of those hours.

some trackers are better than others, but none are entirely accurate. Take the data they give you with a grain of salt. Use them to help you but don't live by them. They'll only become a hindrence.
