What is normal? There are so many different ways of dieting. Is your diet low-carb, or low-fat, or just healthier and more sensible eating? How many meals do you eat every day? How do you control your portion sizes? Do you eat snacks between meals, and if so what are they?
The reason I ask all this is that if you are working out hard at the gym and not losing weight there are two things you need to look at. Either you are not getting enough exercise (including both cardio and weights) or your calorie intake is still too high. Also, it may be possible you may have an existing health condition that is hindering your weight loss, such as
insulin resistance. If this is the first time in a while that you have been exercising and dieting, I would recommend a visit with your doc for a checkup, especially if you're having these problems.
Hey, aren't you a doctor? What kind?
