Can you tell us what your diet is. Is it a structured program like Southbeach, or are you following your own. How many times a week do you exercise and what types of exercises do you do? It's possible that you are still eating too many calories every day and you aren't getting enough cardiovascular exercise. Let us know your program and I think we can help you figure it out so that you start losing weight.

What is normal? There are so many different ways of dieting. Is your diet low-carb, or low-fat, or just healthier and more sensible eating? How many meals do you eat every day? How do you control your portion sizes? Do you eat snacks between meals, and if so what are they?

The reason I ask all this is that if you are working out hard at the gym and not losing weight there are two things you need to look at. Either you are not getting enough exercise (including both cardio and weights) or your calorie intake is still too high. Also, it may be possible you may have an existing health condition that is hindering your weight loss, such as insulin resistance. If this is the first time in a while that you have been exercising and dieting, I would recommend a visit with your doc for a checkup, especially if you're having these problems.

Hey, aren't you a doctor? What kind?

You should keep on running hard for at least 2 hours everyday.

Not everyone is able to run like that, and that type of exercise should not be done every day. Your body is able to adapt quickly to your exercise routine. A routine that consists of the same exercise day in and day out will be much less effective for weight loss than an exercise program with different activities all the time. Try building variety into your workout routine. For example you may do a long jog on day one, day two will be resistance training and core work, day three will be swimming, day four will be an aerobics class.

It is also very important to ensure you are building and toning muscle with anaerobic exercises, such as resistance training and weight lifting. The reason for this is two-fold. Firstly, when you reduce your calories on a diet your body consumes both stored fat and muscle, so muscle building and toning exercises will maintain or build your muscle mass and prevent loss. Secondly, the more muscle you have the better your metabolism will be. Muscles in your body burn fat 24 hours a day and the more muscle you have the more body fat you'll burn.

So what's your exercise schedule for this week? If you don't have one, take a minute right now and jot one down. Make it your goal to workout on every day you write down, no excuses.

with diet combines with exercise you should start seeing results. Remember to drink plenty of water and if results are not seen, then you probably need to consult your doctor because it could be a medical problem.

weight loss differs from people to people. sometimes people start loosing weight as soon as thy start exercising of follow some diet.. but in some people it takes time. so i guess in your case its the same. dont worry it will happen . just see to it tht u follow a exercise regimen and a strict diet.
