Default Dinner time hunger

I don't think I am the only one with this issue - by the time dinner comes around at night I am completely starving.

During the day I eat well - make sure I have a good breakfast, modest lunch, and a couple of healthy snacks along the way. I think I've got this under control. But when I get home and make dinner I find that I become soooo hungry. Then, when I actually eat dinner I eat so much that I probably undo all the great eating I've done throughout the day.

I am following the rules. Is there anything I can do to curb this hunger at dinner time?

Default Dinner Hunger

What helps me is waiting 20 minutes after eating my dinner. It takes your body about 20 minutes to tell your brain that is it full, so if you go back for seconds too soon you end up over eating when really your body has had enough. I find that drinkin a big glass of water after dinner will help you feel more full.
Another tip that can help is eating your food very slowly, this will give your body time to communicate with your brain and let it know that it is full. Chewing your food slowly/properly also aids in the digestion process.

I feel the same way. I learned a trick though. I drink water before sitting down for dinner. About 2 glasses. If that does not work, I make a whey protein shake. When I still feel hungry, I eat small portions but at least I wont end up overeating. :-)

you could try drinking a glass or 2 of water about a half hour to an hour before dinnertime. this could make you feel full when its time to eat dinner, and in turn eat less

I do that water technique but I also eat very slow. Preferably, I eat healthy carbs, and fish or lean meats with tomato sauce. I find that it's more filling, and makes me it slow because it's quite tasty. I have some recipe's if you like.

Yeah, I would definitely agree. Drinking water beforehand helps a lot. Or for me, I drink tea, because it's a little more filling than water.

Smile Water Tracker helps me stave off hunger

There's a great tool on DietTV.com that tracks water intake. I'm telling you that as simple as it sounds, ensuring that the amount of water I drink daily is sufficient, definitely helps to stave off hunger. The link to the tool is: www. diettv. com/DietTelevision/myplan/water-tracker.html (remove the spaces)

I agree with it. Water first before sitting in front of the table can do the trick. 2 glasses is okay. Let us know if it works. If not, I guess appetite suppressant can help you. Just have to take it on the right time so you won't be hungry come dinner.
