Default Weighing yourself regularly may help to keep off the pounds

According to a new study, using specific strategies, such as regularly weighing yourself and planning for situations in which you are more likely to regain weight that you lost, will help more people to keep the weight that they lost over the long term. I found this study to be pretty interesting because it really goes to show that changing your diet and exercising isn't enough to keep people motivated over the long term.

So they're saying that when you actually prepare yourself for situations when you are likely to gain weight and if you weigh yourself regularly this can help motivate you to keep weight off over the long term? I'm not quite sure I understand how this will be beneficial. Wouldn't constantly thinking about your weight and being aware of it make you a little obsessive about weight loss?

This is an interesting article. Thanks for sharing! I actually think that you can lose weight by employing these strategies. By believing that you can lose weight and maintaining high levels of physical activity, monitoring your weight frequently and keeping track of your diet can help you lose weight.

I didn't find this study to be revolutionary at all. Isn't this just plain old common sense? Why are people only writing about this now?
