Question How much caffeine is necessary

I know that caffeine anhydrous is supposed to be a good fat burner, but how much of it do you actually need in order for it to be effective? Is there a study that has discovered this?

I think it's between like 200 - 250 mg of caffeine per day. That said, I think unless you're used to taking caffeine you should start of with a smaller dose like 100 mg and work your way up from there to assess your tolerance.

Thanks for this. Do you know if I can get this from coffee or is it more practical to take it in the form of caffeine anhydrous?

I think caffeine anhydrous is better because I think in order to get the same benefit from coffee or tea you would have to drink a lot of it. At least, that's my understanding of it.

Yeah drinking coffee and tea wont' give you the same fat burning kick as caffeine anhydrous. That said, be mindful of the OTC diet pills you take that contain caffeine because many of them also contain other stimulants as well such as PEA (phenylethalamine), synephrine (bitter orange), kola nut, guarana, etc. The more stimulants there are in a product the greater their effects - both good and bad. In other words, you don't want to overdo it.

I couldn't agree more with your Speeddemon. I think the problem with caffeine in supplements is that it is often combined with other stimulants and this is when it can become problematic. I personally think 200 mg a day is more than enough.

I also think that 200 mg is more than enough.

Thanks legendarytroy. Yeah I've heard that too many stimulants isn't good for you and can be quite dangerous.

I also appreciate that some of you mentioned that 200 mg is good enough for a day. That would have been my next question haha.
