Default What I learned about weight loss

I Found these tips Helpfull when I started my diet, Christy.

1. Drink your water. Our bodies need water. If you are one of those people that do not care for the taste of water and cannot seem to drink the required eight glasses a day, just try it for a week. Dedicate a week of drinking water, do not give up. You might be surprised at how your body acclimates to the need for water. Keeping up with the required amount is a good idea, and very easy to do. One good way to do so is by checking off the water in your journal. Another good way is to get a special container, just for your water need to drink each day, measure how much it can hold, determine how many you need to drink each day, and make that your goal.

2. Patience. Even though it feels like we gained all this weight overnight that is not the case. And, all that weight is not going to come off overnight either. The safest and best way to lose weight, and keep it off, is to lose one to two pounds per week. When you get discouraged, remember to tell yourself that it takes time.

3. The garden soup works well as a healthy snack and to subdue before meal hunger. Weight Watchers has a recipe for garden vegetable soup that is zero points. It makes a great soup treat before your meal to slow you down. It is also a great filler when you find yourself hungry and waiting impatiently for the meal to be ready.

4. You might not lose weight every week. As your body becomes used to the changes happening, you may have some weeks that you actually do not lose weight and can actually show a gain. You must look at this process as long-term, and do not give up and think all is lost because you have one bad week.

5. Group support is great. Attending weekly meetings with others who have managed to lose their goal weight is very inspiring. There is always someone with a great tip or recipe to share.

6. Fat-free is not always the best choice. Substituting fat-free ingredients is not always the best choice. Fat-free versions of many foods often have no taste or are so bland and different from their regular versions that you will not be satisfied with the alternative. The better choice to try is usually the lower fat version. It may cost a few extra points but will taste better. You can end up feeling deprived and still hungry if you do not enjoy your food.

7. Exercise makes a difference. You probably have heard it all before. Just get up and move. Do not be discouraged if you cannot exercise a lot at first. If your body was not used to exercising, it will be like a wake up call. Exercising of any type will enhance your metabolic rate and improve your ability to lose weight.

Hi,
I could recommend you a site, where you can find useful information for workout, tracking nutrition, exercise log, training effect, nutrition log and etc. You will be able to calculate calories consumed and track details on over 70 nutrients. Just check it, it's called Qwave com.
