Default Eating at Weddings and Birthday Parties

Saturday was a busy and very social day. First our family attended an outdoor wedding. Instead of wedding cake there were two tables of cheese cake. There were a wide variety of cheese cakes. Yum
Next our family went to a double surprise birthday party. Of course there was more to eat. One birthday cake was chocolate and the other was carrot cake. Yum
Was I eating for nutrition? Was what I was eating supporting my Immune System? The answer was no. So then why was I eating? The answer was Social and for Recreation. Is it okay to eating at social occasions? Can food be recreational? For breakfast today, it is back to solid nutrition that will keep my body healthy and strong. Solid daily nutrition means one can....... ..................... Live Long Live Strong

Social occasions have been my downfall when dieting. I find it soooo hard to go out with a group of friends without having a few drinks and eating some carby foods. I always have the intention not to, and sometimes I manage it, but mostly I break down to some extent. Eating is very recreational for some people I think. It is connected to so many social situations, even if it's just with family. I have noticed that people always seem to gather in the kitchen at house parties I go to. There's a reason for this - that's where the food is and everyone seems to feel more relaxed and at ease with some munchies at hand. Too bad we don't find the same comfort in salad lol :)

Eating at weddings and social occasions can help put on a lot of weight. I try to cut down on the quantity. I try to eat as little of the fatty foods as possible.

That’s a huge problem for me, I even cannot start my diet right now - next week I am going on two birthday parties...
