hmmm, i think you're confused a bit here. it is not correct to lump a cleanse in with a diet. diets are for losing weight, cleanses are for detoxification. the one you incorrectly refer to as a "crash diet" is called the master cleanse, or lemonade diet. it is true that some people have compared this cleanse with a starvation diet, but it is absolutely incorrect to label a cleanse as any diet at all. weight lost while on a cleanse is almost all water weight. fat loss is a byproduct of the cleanse. a cleanse should never be used to lose weight.
