Default I cannot control my eating of junk food

Hello everyone,

I am a working executive, working long hours and addicted to fast food, usually eating while I'm in the office. I seem to eat whether I'm hungry or not and have got to a stage where I am unable to control my eating habit. Unfortunately, my weight is increasing and I'm being forced to buy clothes a size larger than normal. I can devote a little time to exercise, but is there a recommended safe way to lose weight? I've heard of all these diets, such as Atkins, that don't sound very healthy at all.

Default Planned, pre-packaged diet food may be the answer

Hi Roxiio,

I understand your situation completely. Long work days combined with fast food and sugar just to keep you going can really start to add up.

If you don't have a lot of time to spend cooking, which it sounds you don't, I would recommend a diet program that includes easy-to-prepare foods, such as Nutrasystem or just by a whole bunch of frozen Lean Cuisines and bring them to the office with you so that you can throw one in the microwave for a quick and low-cal meal whenever you need to.

As for the junk food between meals, you need to get rid of it from your work space. If you like to snack then make it healthy choices such as mini carrots, apples, grapefruit... you get the picture. Not only are these types of foods lower in calories, but they also contain fiber that will help to keep you feeling full for longer.

I hope this helps

Hi,
I fully understand your problem - its quite common that people working long hours in offices pick up habits like eating junk food and set aside no time to exercise. Junk food is a serious health risk. My advice would be the following:
• Stop eating junk food, or at least cut it down to eating junk food a maximum of once per week.
• Start some simple, low key exercise such as walking

Default Loss Weight With LIttle Effort

Hi Roxiio

I understand how working long hour in the office can but Let’s face it, diet and exercise programs just take too much time and are always difficult to follow for the average person. You have to be really committed to keep on top of some of these programs.

Default loss weight

I understand you. You have to work long hour and you don't have time to cook healthy foods. And i think when you buy in fast food, you buy fatty foods like. My only advice to you is, you should give time to eat healthy foods and exercise. You can walk in everyday going in your office.

Hope it helps!

Default Stay focused

my best advice is to prepare the night before some snacks to hold you over. Almonds, apples, hard boiled eggs. These things are easy and great healthy snacks!

Good Luck!!

They all are brilliant advices - simple in theory but difficult on practice.
You have to chose - remain in your comfort zone with junk food or change your eating habits.
STOP THINKING THAT YOU ARE ADDICTED!
It prevents you from right action towards eliminating unhealthy, dangerous food!!!
I am looking forward to hear success story from you.

Hello Roxio. I would suggest you to cut down on junk food if you want to lose weight. However, you can still continue to consume food that tastes great. I too had gained a lot of weight last year due to my hectic work schedule. I consulted to trainer and she recommened me Bistro MD diet. The thing with Bistro MD diet plan is that It is low on calories, yet it is very nutritious and healthy. Unlike other diet foods, with Bistro you don't need to starve your self and it tastes awesome. I've lost good weight with Bistro and I just love their Chicken Cordon Blue, Danish breakfast pastry and Chocolate Mini Cheesecake.
