Default How much weight can you lose?

Will you actually lose weight if you take up yoga or pilates or do you just become more flexible and toned?

Of course you can lose weight if you take part in any form of exercise. You won't burn a lot of fat by engaging in yoga and pilates, really only cardio can do that, but you will burn some calories for sure. If you combine it with cardio exercise I'd say you'd burn quite a bit!

It all depends on your weight, your diet (how many claories you're consuming) and how often you do Yoga. That said, on average, you'd probably lose like half a pound per week if you engage in regular yoga exercises and followed a calorie-conscious diet.

You can lose a bit but I would primarily do these exercise based on other benefits they can provide me like greater body strength, balance, stability and flexibility. If you really want to shed the pounds you need cardio.

Wow really? That's actually a lot more than I was expecting. Is that only if you do the exercises once per week or more than that?
