Pasta dishes have been around for centuries, mostly because they are delicious, filling, and versatile. Healthy pasta, however, is sort of a new concept. As more and more people become concerned about their physical well-being, they naturally want to improve the way they eat from every angle. When it comes to pasta, the sauce is boss. Without a delicious sauce poured over the top of your pasta dish it is just a plate of plain noodles. Keep in mind, however, that what you use in your sauce plays a huge role in how healthy your meal turns out. Instead of always buying canned, jarred, or prepackaged sauces, try creating your own so that you can get down on some mouthwatering healthy pasta. Use only the freshest organic ingredients in your sauce for maximum benefit. Add some garlic for a kick of taste and enjoy the many health benefits from that decision as well.

 

Step Three: Go Easy on the Toppings


Most modern eaters like to eat their pasta dishes with cheese or bread crumbs on the top. While that is quite tasty and popular, it’s not exactly the healthiest thing to do. Why not try using fresh herbs and spices to give your pasta that extra kick? Sprinkle some ripe sage, rosemary, or basil on top instead of using those potentially fattening cheeses or any high calorie bread crumbs. Healthy pasta is not as difficult to make if you use your natural resources in a creative way.
