Are some diet pills more effective for women than men

I was recently doing some diet pill research online and I came across some products that were marketed exclusively to women. Three examples include: Hemodrene for Her, OxySelect Pink and SlimVox. What I'm wondering is are these pills actually more effective for women than they would be for men who took them, or is this just some marketing ploy? Does anyone know? Thanks.

I don't think so. That sounds like a lot of bull to me. Beyond being a good marketing technique I doubt it makes a difference if a man or a woman takes the same diet pills. It's the same thing with a lot of other products on the market. We're often convinced that something will work better for us as women because of its color, shape or smell. When you really think about it, that's really, really silly. It may be more aesthetically appealing, but that has nothing to do with the actual effectiveness of the product - only it's marketing.

I've heard about this too. I know that some things can effect men and women differently, which is why sometimes there are different dosage recommedations for men and women. Like some people need more calories or certain vitamins or minerals compared to others etc. So, while I suppose there could be diet pills out there that work better for women than men and the opposite, I don't think you should just blindly believe the manufacturer. I would recommend more research and talking to a healthcare professional.

Those that offer hormonal control may be better for women than men, but on the whole they should work about the same for both. After all, if a pill is designed to burn fat it will burn fat not matter your gender and the same with appetite suppression.
