  • The stuff that isn't pills

What about products for weight loss that aren't pills, like drops and magnets and creams and clothing designed to make you sweat more. Is any of this helpful with weight loss or is everything a gimmick?

It's a gimmick. Honestly, the only way that these things could help you is if you believed in them, so like a placebo effect. That said, no magnet, cream or waist sincher or belly zapper is going to lead to faster or even any weight loss.

Yup all gimmicks. I wouldn't trust any of it. It's a waste of money. You'll lose just as much weight if you save your cash and just stick to conventional reduced-calorie dieting and regular exercise methods.

I guess I'm not surprised...but then again, even if it does just have a placeob effect, I guess if it works it works, right? That said I'm not going to rush out to buy an ear or toe-ring magnet lol

Yup. If you think it works, if it makes you happy, if you see a difference and you're not causing yourself any harm...there's nothing wrong with wearing a magnetic toe ring, a seed on your ear or putting cream on your skin. To be honest...most of the OTC diet pills on the market are just as useless as these other gimmicks...so, really...

Haha it's so true! While there are some good pills out there...most of them are just as useless as magnetic toe rings. I agree, if it works it works. Still, I wouldn't recommend buying anything that sounds too good to be true or that promises you you will lose weight with no other efforts on your part. Plus, chances are if you are wearing a magnetic toe ring, cream or a seed in your ear...or even taking a diet pill, the weight loss that you may experience will undoubtedly be due to you cutting back on your calories and exercising.
