Has anyone heard of a diet plan called "Reverse Fasting"? Apparently, the idea is that you eat dinner earlier, like 5pm or 6pm and then you don't have anything else to eat until you get up for breakfast the next more at like 6am or 7am. This makes sense to me. What do you guys thing? Here's the news where I read it: https://www.express.co.uk/life-style...eakfast-dinner

If you're hungry before bed, I would recommend eating something like cucumbers, celery or slowly nursing a glass of water to help fill you up. That said, I think reverse fasting is great!Originally posted by treehuggertodd View PostThis is an interesting finding and it does make a lot of sense. That said, I can see it being problematic for those of us who are hungry before bed...

I don't know if it's "natural" but it does make sense that after you've had your last meal, you should quit eating for the rest of the day. As Maggie said, if you're really hungry, you can always have cucumbers or celery or even water to satisfy your need to chew or feel like you have something in your stomach.Originally posted by Gina View PostShouldn't this just be called "natural fasting" I mean, aren't we supposed to naturally not consume anything anyway after dinner?
I just think that reverse fasting is sensible because you should really avoid eating before bed. It's not only good for your digestive system and metabolism, it's better for getting good sleep, too.
