I know I over-consume calories during the holidays. While I know I won't be able to follow a strict diet, I do want to make an effort to avoid two types of foods that are loaded in calories. Which ones should I avoid that will save me lots of empty calories but won't stop me from enjoying the holidays?

This was actually super advice and exactly what I was looking for. I know that just avoiding stuff and limiting what I ate was the best thing, but I was looking for a way to easily avoid all those extra extra calories I forget about and really don't need. Thanks!Originally posted by antoniojones1968 View PostYup, limit alcohol, eggnog, stuff with extra creams and sugars. I mean, definitely enjoy yourself, but if you do want to not overload too crazy on the calories, watching your intake of beverages that are high in fats and sugars is the best way to do it.

Totally! I always forget how many empty calories there are in things like alcohol and juice. There's so much sugar and it's so easy to drink and you don't realize that all that sugar can add on the pounds!!Originally posted by chefmel View Post
