We need to be more positive about our body image

I know that there's been a lot of jokes and memes and things about weight gain during the pandemic and while I can admit I was amused by it all at first, it's time to stop. Obsessing over body image and cracking jokes about being fat just isn't all that funny and even if you might find it funny, you could be hurting someone else's feelings or making their body insecurities worse. I think it's time we all focused on being positive and happy and stopped focusing on how the food we're eating and our lack of exercise is making us fat. I mean, what good is that really doing?

I have to agree. I don't want to be a parade rainer-oner but I don't see it changing much either. The world and its many cultures have be looks-obsessed for centuries. I think instead of hoping society will change, the best course of action is to make peace with the way you look and learn to love it. At the end of the day, what you think about yourself is what matters, regardless if that means changing how you look or not. Looks are a very personal thing. That said, I do agree, body shaming and jokes need to stop. That's just negative and shallow.
