I agree. most of those discontinuations just have to do with brand names. THey're available under other names and generics still.

Really? Just the brand names or the actual generics too? Did the FDA really take down all those medications or just some of the companies that make them? This should be clearer and easier to learn. Is there a database somewhere to look stuff like this up?

    That's how I understand it.
Here's what the FDA site says:
    Didrex is discontinued https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...&ApplNo=012427
    Bontril is discontinued https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...&ApplNo=088021
Ionamin is discontinued (though I don't think it ever applied to come to the US in the first place) https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...&ApplNo=011613

Looks like the same thing for tenuate https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...&ApplNo=011722

Maybe I'm not understanding what the website is saying? I'm not a medical expert or anything. This was just the result of a fast google search.

You mean they all have been discontinued in every state? Like no doctor in the United States can prescribed them? What about Tenuate?
