I'm trying to eat healthy to help my weight loss along and I had a friend tell me that if all I do is take on a vegetarian diet, then I'll automatically start to lose weight. Does anybody know if this is true. It sounds like it should be, to me.

Sure you can try it, but why? If you just get lean meats like turkey or chicken white meat, then you'll be able to get lots of flavor and healthy results and still achieve great weight loss. You just have to be choosy with your meat, not cut it out all the way.Originally posted by tammybear View PostI'm trying to eat healthy to help my weight loss along and I had a friend tell me that if all I do is take on a vegetarian diet, then I'll automatically start to lose weight. I know a few vegetarians and they are ALL skinny. I don't think it's coincidence. BUT I think they watch what they eat because they are very conscientious eaters to be vegetarians in the first place and thus they are the type of people who are not putting junk in their bodies in addition to meat. I am not sure it's the lack of meat per say that makes them thin but their general lifestyle decisions.
