If you get a body lift, the surgery where they remove all that excess flabby skin after you lose weight, are there a lot of scars left over?

I imagine there would be some scars, but I don't think it would be really really bad...I mean, it's a plastic surgeon who does it. They should be really skilled at making sure you don't have crazy scars...unless you're going to a horrible plastics person!

If you choose a skilled surgeon, typically they hide the scars in the natural folds of the body to minimize the look of scaring on your arms, legs, stomach (wherever the skin is being removed). Of course, how well you heal will depend on your body, age, skin, etc., as well. Also, do expect for the scars to take some time to heal. It can take up to a year or even longer for your body to heal and look as it will.Originally posted by bruceH View PostHahaha I never thought about it like that but that would make a lot of sense LOL. Still, would they be all over your body? Would your skill still be dimply?

You know...it didn't even occur to me that there would be scars...but of course their would be...I mean they're cutting into you. Suddenly, I just got a lot more respect for people brave enough to go through with body lifts! That must be really hard to heal from!!
