    Is there a lot of scarring with weight loss surgery?

    Depends on the type of surgery you're getting, where it is, how well you heal, how good your surgeon is, and how your body scars. That said, for the least amount of sacring, it's highly recommended that you have whatever procedure done by a plastic surgeon. Part of their job is to minimize scaring.

      I agree with antoniojones1968. It really depends on the surgery. Are you talking about a gastric bypass or a body lift? The type of surgery you have sort-of dictates how much healing/scarring you might experience.

        Exactly. That said, if cutting into you is part of the surgery, you can expect to have a scar.

          Guess that makes sense. I find the thought of scars very upsetting.
