  • How did your doctor's visit go? I hope that everything is OK.

Thankfully, I am finally feeling better and am getting back to life. I weighed myself yesterday and was down four pounds from the last time I weighed in. I couldn't believe it. I wish I could get sick more often (no, just kidding). It just goes to show though that eating less and drinking lots of fluids can really help the pounds fly off.

One thing I have done over the past week that I think I will try to keep doing to some extent is eating soup as a meal. I had it for dinner a couple of times and for lunch too. It was always a light soup of some sort with some vegetables and not very much salt. Soup is so easy to make so I can add it to my diet without too much difficulty.

Last night I made a broccoli soup with 2 pounds of broccoli florets, 5 cups of organic chicken broth, some thyme and a bunch of kale. It may sound not so good, but I boiled it all together in a pot then blended it all once the broccoli was cooked through and it was really tasty. According to the cookbook it is only 95 calories per serving. Now that's what I'm talking about.
