Is it possible to join weight watchers through their online site and not take part in the live meetings element of the program? Or do you have to do the live part and the internet is just supporting stuff?

I prefer it to the one where you need to go to the meetings. I never liked the meetings. I was often the only guy there and I felt that I built up more guilt than motivationOriginally posted by madscientist View PostYes. The diet actually has a very good program online. Everything is available there that you'd get from the traditional type of the weight watchers diet, except for the group meetings and the weigh ins. It has a huge database of recipes and a lot of information and features you can use.

That's true. You do need to be self motivated and self disciplined to do the online version well.Originally posted by Tiff View PostThe live part of the program may be the tough part, but it's the part that motivates you to get your weight down. You really want to have lost weight when others are watching you on a scale!

They've really upgraded the system online over time and have been working a lot on their app, too. If you tried it more than a year ago, then you'll likely find that there have been a number of differences since then. They're really working hard to get people online so they've added a lot, including ways for you to stay motivated.

It's true. I have used the site a lot of times without signing up. A lot of other recipe sites also offer weight watchers recipes for free, so it's good to look around for what you want if you're seeking a dish that is WW approved. You'll find it!Originally posted by tammybear View PostThe recipes it offers are unbeatable. Some are available for free without even signing up.
