    Oldest but best diets

What are some of the oldest diets and among those which one are the best and have survived the longest. I'm kinda curious to learn more and maybe even try one.

Yup, just like how the Norwegian diet is based on foods that people eat in Norway. That said, I genuinely believe that the oldest and best diet to follow is good old fashioned common sense. Losing weight is about reducing the amount of calories you eat and exercise to burn even more calories and to build muscle to get rid of the excess fat. Knowing this, if you track your calories, stick to your daily calorie limits, and keep up with your exercising, you can pretty much follow any diet, regardless of how long it's existed.

I agree, Megiterranean all the way. It's been around for a long time and the diet just makes good sense and it doesn't ask you to do anything ridiculous and you don't have to pay into any program to implement it into your life.

Intermittent fasting? I didn't know this diet has been around for a long time. This is the one where you eat at certain times of the day but then don't eat for a long stretch of it or something like that, right?

Weight watchers is probably the one I would say is up there. Maybe that and DASH. Mind you, I don't know how old DASH is.
