  • A type of meditation

Is yoga a form of meditation or is it just an exercise? I've never really understood what it is to be honest LOL

Some yoga is a type of meditation. That said, if you're just looking to do meditation, it may be better to look into meditation exercises instead of yoga. You'll find a much bigger option. :)

Maybe try Hatha Yoga. :) I've heard good things about this one for meditation.

What is Hatha Yoga? I'm only curious because I thought meditation was sort of a component for all yoga. I mean, you have to poses for so long and it's about focusing on your breathing and things...isn't that what meditation kinda is? Or am I confusing meditation with mindfulness?

I was about to ask the same thing hahaha! It sounds interesting, and I didn't know there was a type of yoga that was more devoted to meditation than others. Actually, TBH, I didn't even know there was more than one type of yoga!

There are actually several different types of yoga, so it is important to find the one that will work best for what you want to get out of yoga, as well as you fitness level and your health.

That said, basically Hatha Yoga is essentially the type of yoga you think about when you think of "yoga' In general terms. It is a practice that involves focusing on breath, body and mind. Essentially it's about controlled breathing and posture.

Nope. Partially because you can sell more when you have more than one thing to offer and partially because we don't live in a "one size fits all society" what works and makes sense for one person isn't the same for the next person for a number of reasons. Without different options, we wouldn't be able to experience as much as we do. :)
